Die Wirkung von Joseph Falcons “Lafayette“ war so groß, dass Plattenlabels wie Victor, Brunswick, Paramount und Vocalion Ende 1929 auch traditionelle ländliche Cajun-Musik aufnahmen. Unter den ausgewählten Künstlern waren Amédie (Amédé) Ardoin, die Breaux Frères, Angelas Le Jeunne (LeJeune), Denus (Dennis) McGee – und Leo Soileau (mit Mayuse Lafleur und Moise Robin).
Im Sommer und Herbst 1929 nahm das Duo Soileau & Robin für drei verschiedene Unternehmen auf: Paramount in Richmond/Indiana; Victor in Memphis/Tennessee und Vocalion in New Orleans. Ihre Paramount-Version von “Easy Rider Blues“ war eine bemerkenswerte Cajun-Blues-Performance in englischer Sprache.
