Der Countrysänger, Gitarrist und Autor Justin Tubb war der älteste Sohn des legendären Ernest Tubb und wurde am 20. August 1935 in San Antonio, Texas, als Justin Wayne Tubb geboren. Er verstarb am 24. Jänner 1998 in Nashville, Tennessee. 1953 bekam er bei DECCA, wo auch sein Vater "verankert" war einen Vertrag. Vorerst hatte er wenig Erfolg, erst im Duett mit Goldie Hill kam er 1954 zweimal in die C&W-Charts. Erst bei anderen Labels in den Sechzigern hatte er auch Solo-Charts-Eintritte.
