The Vance label was owned and run by Dick Vance at the Dick Vance studios, 3249 Grand Ave. Oakland, California and later Los Angeles throughout the late 50’s through until the early 70’s.
The earliest recording sessions that we have found is from 1959 and by Tommy Fogerty and the Blue Velvets "I Know” backed with “Yes, I Love You"
Vance was only one of the label names used by Dick Vance throughout this time and the other related labels such as Vance Records, V.R., Vance Hollywood Masters, Dick Vance Records or Studio’s, Dick Vance Religious Gems, Dee Vee Records, Dick Vance Productions, Dandelion, Dove and Trump Records all relate to the same label and fit within the numbering system used.
