Before the Tornados Clem Cattini played in The Terry Kennedy Group (1958), The Beat Boys (08/59 -12/59), Johnny Kidd & The Pirates #2 (01/60 – 07/61, recording 3 Singles), Colin Hicks & The Cabin Boys (07/61 – 08/61) and The Falcons. Alan Caddy played in Johnny Kidd & The Pirates #2 (01/59 – 07/61, recording 3 singles), Colin Hicks & The Cabin Boys (07/61 – 08/61) and The Alan Caddy Band. Heinz Burt played in The Outlaws for one week (08/61). George Bellamy played in The Allen Klein Five. The name tornados was used since line-up # 4. They were formed as a session band and backed many artists on record. This line-up recorded between 09/61 and 03/62 two tracks: ‘Swingin’ beefeater’ and ‘Popeye Twist’.
