Der Songwriter, Countrysänger und Gitarrist Danny Dill wurde am 19. September 1924 am Dollar Hill in Clarksburg, Carroll County, Tennessee, als Horace Eldred Dill geboren und verstarb am 23. Oktober 2008 im Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee, Davidson County. Danny Dill stammte aus Huntingdon, Carroll County, Tennessee, und lebte später in Antioch, einem Stadtteil von Nashville. Im Jahre 1945 lernte er Annie Lou Stockard kennen, heiratete sie und bildete mit ihr das Geangsduett Annie Lou And Danny Dill, unterschrieb bei BULLET, wo es dann zwei Titel dieses Duetts auf zwei Schellacks gab. Obwohl er einige Singles einspielte, sah er sich aber eher als Songwriter.
