Der Schaupieler, Synchronsprecher (Simon Bar Sinister, Riff-Raff etc.), Schriftsteller und Zauberer Allen Swift wurde am 16. Jänner 1924 in New York City als Ira J. Stadlen geboren und verstarb am 18. April 2010 ebenda. Seinen Künstlernamen holte er sich von dem Radiokomiker Fred Allen (1894-1956) und dem irischen Satiriker Jonathan Swift (1667-1745). Seine Singleveröffentlichungen sind meist typische Noveltys. Mit “Are You Lonesome Tonight?” verriss er beispielsweise Elvis und Frankie-Boy. Manches war auch für Kinder gedacht.
