interessant bei der Gruppe 1) ist, dass aus ihnen der Autor Sylvester Bradford hervorgegangen ist.
Er arbeitete mit Al Lewis zusammen, einem berühmten Songwriter, der 1931 “Now's The Time To Fall In Love“ (“Potatoes Are Cheaper, Tomatoes Are Cheaper“), 1933 “You Gotta Be A Football Hero (To Get Along With The Beautiful Girls)“ und 1940 “Blueberry Hill“ geschrieben hatte.
Gemeinsam schrieben sie “Tears On My Pillow“, das Little Anthony and the Imperials im Sommer 1958 auf # 4 der Popcharts brachte, sowie “I'm Ready“, ein # 16-Hit für Fats Domino im Frühjahr 1959.
Sylvester schrieb außerdem Gene Vincents “Right Now“, das Mary Chapin Carpenter vor einigen Jahren zu einem großen Hit verwandelte, sowie “IFIC“, das sowohl von den Chantels als auch von Lucy Rivera (die Lucy Cedeno war, das weibliche Mitglied der Love Notes, der Nachfolgegruppe der Ivories) produziert wurde. Bobby Darin nahm ein ganzes Album mit Sylvesters Songs für 20th Century Fox auf, doch es wurde in letzter Minute zurückgezogen, als Atlantic mit einer Klage drohte. Die meisten Songs wurden später von anderen Künstlern gesungen.
