Der Sänger, Akkordeonspieler, Bandleader und Radiomann Leo Greco wurde am 1. November 1921 in Oelwein, Iowa, geboren und verstarb am 2. August 2011 ebenda. Vorerst spielte und sang er in diversen Gruppen bis er mit Norb "Shorty" Pudil, Saxophon, Darwin Meeks, Gitarre, Dick Harvey, Trompete, Bob Morahn, Schlagzeug, und Karl Wagner, Bass, seine eigene sechsköpfige Band, die er Leo and His Pioneers nannte, gründete.
