Hallo,
in einer New Musical Express-Ausgabe von 1958 finde ich
Little Johnny And The Three Teenagers (aus Manchester/UK)
DECCA
02 58….F 10990….Little Johnny And The Three Teenagers..Baby Lover/Rickety Rackety Rendezvous
Den Titel “Baby Lover“, von Wandra Merrell „erfunden“, finde ich noch von
The Twin Tunes Quintet (seit 11/1957 RCA, UK, USA, Italien, Deutschland)
Petula Clark (seit 4/1958 PYE Nixa, UK, Neuseeland, Nixa, NL, Vogue, Frankreich, Australien, Pyral, Frankreich, PYE, Italien; Brasilien, Imperial, USA, Hispavox, Spanien, Metronome, DK)
Betty Curtis (1958 Liberty, Italien)
Little Gerhard (10/1959 Electrola, Deutschland)
Jenny Luna (1959 Juke Box, Italien)
Little Gerhard (1960 Karusell, Schweden)
The flip, "Rickety Rackety Rendezvous", is a cover version of a Doris Day song written by Joe Lubin, an ex-pat Englishman who was tight with Day's husband Marty Melcher at the time and known as the man who managed to permanently get his name attached to the copyright of Little Richard's "Tutti Frutti" when he "cleaned up" the song for Pat Boone. Lubin also apparently passed on the American rights to the Beatles publishing in America, so you win some and lose some I guess.
Gruß
Heino
