Kurze Band-Story:
George Vaughn Horton, Songwriter, Gitarrist, Steel-Gitarrist etc., und sein Bruder Roy Horton, Bass, sowie drei weitere Musiker, nämlich Ray Smith, Gitarre, Gesang, Rusty Keefer, Songwriter, Gitarre, Bass, Violine, und Johnny Browers, diverse Instrumente, gründeten etwa Ende 1949 eine Hillbilly-Band. Angelehnt an die Band von Ray Smith auf NATIONAL, nannte man sich The Pinetoppers.
