BILLY THOMPSON

Der Sänger, Gitarrist und Bandleader BILLY THOMPSON, welcher
der Bruder von Hank Thompson zu sein scheint, kam 1954 mit
der Miller Brothers-Band zusammen. Man recordete bei Four
Star Records Platten wie 45x88, 1667x45, P 103x45, 1686, 1694
zwischen 1954 und 1956. Anschließend gründete Thompson seine
eigene Band The Melody Cowboys. Nach oder vor einer Veröffentlichung
auf Winston (1048; 1960) und auf dem eigenen Thompson-Label
war er auch auf Jesse Smith' Label Bo-Kay Records zu finden.
Neben der LP Bo-Kay LPM 101 kamen die Singles Bo-Kay K 104
"Waltzing With Sin" und "Love Gone Blind" und 1965 "Oh Lonesome Me"
und "Worried Over You" (K 115). Weitere Arbeiten u.a. mit
Kay-Bar Dane Records folgten.
