Der Pianist Eddie "Piano" Miller wurde am 16. Juli 1905 in Manchester, Großbritannien, als Edward Maurice Lisbona geboren und verstarb 1989. Sterbeort und Sterbetag sind offenbar nicht feststellbar. Mit seinem zivilen Namen war er ein sehr erfolgreicher britischer Songwriter, der beispielweise auch "Gently" für Elvis schrieb. Sein Pseudonym Eddie "Piano" Miller verwendete er ausschließlich für seine Tätigkeit als Pianist, es soll aber auch Einspielungen unter den Namen Lisbona bzw. Lisbone gegeben haben. Fast seine gesamten Einspielungen erfolgten in den USA, meist bei RAINBOW in New York City. Bisher konnte ich nirgendwo feststellen, ob er sein Haupttätigkeitsfeld in den USA oder doch in seiner Heimat Großbritannien hatte oder ob er vielleicht ein permanenter "Pendler" war.
