Der britische Schauspieler, Komödiant und Schlagersänger Dave King wurde am 23. Juni 1929 in Twickenham, Middlesex, England, als David Kingshott geboren und verstarb am 15. April 2002 in London, England. In den Fünfzigern startete er seine Dave King Show mit Gesang, Tanz und "Comedy", welche sehr populär war, insbesondere wegen der berühmten Gäste, die er jedesmal vorstellen konnte. Als äußerst populärer TV-Star nahm er auch Schallplatten auf, wobei er einfach gängige Schlager coverte und damit viermal die britischen Charts eroberte.
