Kurz-Bio:
Der Akkordeon-Spieler und Sänger Dick Contino wurde am 17. Jänner 1930 in Fresno, Kalifornien, geboren. Contino studierte in Fresno Akkordeon und erlangte sehr bald eine Virtuosität auf diesem Instrument. 1947 errang er bei einer von der Zigarettenfirma Philip Morris gesponserten Talente-Show den ersten Platz und wurde vom Orchester-Leiter Horace Heidt sofort engagiert, der ihn auf seinem eigenen Label populär machte. 1954 mit "Yours" und 1957 mit "Pledge Of Love" hatte er sogar Charts-Eintritte.
