Stevie Wright, Australian rock legend and The Easybeats singer, dies aged 68
Australian rock legend Stevie Wright has died aged 68, according to reports. The Easybeats frontman is understood to have died on Sunday night at a hospice on the NSW South Coast. His hits included 'Friday On My Mind', 'Evie' and 'She's So Fine'. Stevie is widely regarded as Australia's first international popstar. He climbed to fame in the 1960s and 1970s but spent much of the next 20 years battling serious alcohol and heroin addiction.
