Die aus Cedar Rapids, Iowa, stammenden Escorts Roger "Rog" Booth, Schlagzeug und Gesang, Dick Sherman, Bass, Zelda Sherman, Keyboards, und Dick Burns, Gitarre, wurden 1959 gegründet und machten Ende 1960 ihre ersten Platten-Einspielungen. Ab 1966 änderten sie ihren Gruppennamen auf The Do's & The Don'ts.
