Die Country-Sängerin und Songwriterin Loretta Lynn wurde am 14. April 1932 in Butcher Holler, Kentucky, als Loretta Webb geboren und verstarb am 4. Oktober 2022 in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Am 10. Jänner 1948 heiratete sie als 15-jährige, den 21-jährigen Talentemanager und Countrymusiker Oliver Vanetta Lynn, Jr., besser bekannt als Doolittle Lynn, auch als Mooney, geboren am 27. August 1926 in Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, und verstorben am 22. August 1996 in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee. Der Ehe, die bis zum Tode des Ehemannes dauerte, entstammten sechs Kinder (vier Mädchen und zwei Buben).
