Kurz-Bio:
Der Sänger und Schauspieler Frankie Vaughan wurde am 3. Februar 1928 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England, als Frank Fruim Abelson geboren und verstarb am 17. Mai 1999 in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England, erst 71-jährig, an Herzversagen. Seine Schallplatten-Karriere begann im Jahre 1950 bei DECCA und ab 1953 folgte HIS MASTER’S VOICE. Im Jahre 1955 wechselte er zu PHILIPS, einer Firma, die erst im Jahre 1958 auf 45 RPM umstellte, kam aber dafür ihn Verbindungen mit der amerikanischen COLUMBIA wo er, vermutlich ab etwa 1958, auch Einspielungen mit Orchestern aus den USA machte, wie beispielsweise mit Ray Ellis (Pseudonym: Mark Jeffrey) und diversen anderen Orchestern. Im Jahre 1960 ging er etwas längere Zeit in die USA, um bei dem Film „Let’s Make Love“, deutscher Titel: „Machen wir’s in Liebe“, mit Marylin Monroe, Yvey Montand etc. mitzuwirken, kehrte dann aber wieder in seine Heimat zurück.
