Mike Roger gehört zwar nicht mehr in „meine Zeit”, aber er gefällt mir trotzdem sehr gut, insbesonder sein „Spitzentitel“ „Schwarze Wolke“ und darum wundere ich mich, dass dieser hier fehlt. Bin ich mit meinem Geschmack schon so weit vom Mainstream entfernt

Das Original
von Bill Brock (links klicken) aus dem Jahre 1962 ist anfangs etwas gewöhnungsbedürftig, aber auch nicht so schlecht, hat aber einen völlig anderen Musikstil und ist daher für einen Vergleich unbrauchbar. Obwohl mir die meisten der Chubby Checker-Einspielungen sehr gut gefallen, kann ich mit seiner Version von "Black Cloud" aus dem Jahre 1963 nicht warm werden, aber so ist es eben. Ich finde, die deutschsprachige Version von Mike Roger, ist die Beste von allen.
