Kurze Gruppenstory:
Der Jingle-Komponist, Songwriter und Sänger Johnny Johnston wurde am 10. Juni 1919 in England als John Reine geboren und verstarb am 10. Juni 1998 in London, England. Er war, kurz nach Ende des 2. WK gemeinsam mit Partner Mickey Michaels, der Gründer des Musikverlages "Michael Reine Music Co. Ltd.", und war auch der Initiator der Keynotes. Im Jahre 1949 gründete er das Vokal-Quartett The Johnston Brothers, dessen weitere drei Mitglieder Alan Dean, Eddie Lester und Denny Vaughan waren. Es waren also keine echten Brüder und außerdem wechselte Johnston seine Gesangspartner auch mehrmals aus. Die Besetzung bei "Hernando's Hideaway", ihrem einzigen Nummer-Eins-Hit in den Charts im Herbst 1955 lautete beispielsweise: Johnny Johnston, Frank Holmes, Harry „Miff“ King und Eddie Lester.
