Die Sängerin, Schauspielerin und Leiterin der Rita Williams Singers wurde am 13. Juni 1920 in England geboren und verstarb am 13. November 1971, erst 51-jährig, in Wandsworth, Greater London, England. Bereits in den Dreißigern startete sie als Teenager ihre Karriere als Solosängerin. Bei uns wurde sie aber erst in den Fünfzigerjahren als Leiterin der Rita Williams Singers etwas mehr bekannt.
