Die Schasuspielerin und Sängerin Pearl Lavinia Carr wurde am 2. November 1923 in Exmouth, Devon, und der Schlagzeuger, Schauspieler und Sänger Edward Victor Johnson wurde am 4. September 1920 in Subirton, London, geboren. Nach ihrer Heirat im Jahre 1955 wurden sie nicht nur privat sondern auch beruflich ein Paar und waren als Gesangs- und Schauspiel-Duo Pearl Carr & Teddy Johnson bzw. Pearl & Teddy unterwegs.

1959 waren sie hinter Teddy Scholten auf dem zweiten Rang des Eurovision-
Festivals mit "Sing Little Birdie". Daher wohl auch die deutsche Veröffentlichung.
Teddy Scholten nahm von "Sing Little Birdie" sogar eine holländische Fassung auf.

ACHTUNG: eine Plattenhülle zu ihrer Columbia-Single in UK gab es nicht.
Die FAKE-Hülle (sie gab es also NICHT...) wurde später von ihrer Sheet Music
angefertigt, sieht aber nicht schlecht aus:

Seit 2016 haben sich zwei weitere Daten ergeben:
Das Ehepaar Pearl Lavinia Carr ( 2. November 1921 in Exmouth, Devon,
bis 16. Februar 2020) und Edward Victor Johnson ( 4. September 1919
bis 6. Juni 2018) ist leider schon verstorben.
