Kurz-Bio:
Der Jazz-Trompeter, Bandleader, Komponist und Sänger Wingy Manone wurde am 13. Februar 1900 in New Orleans, Louisiana, als Joseph Matthews Manone geboren und verstarb am 9. Juli 1982 in Las Vegas, Nevada. Mit 10 Jahren verlor er bei einem Autounfall seinen rechten Arm, weshalb er immer mit einer Prothese auftrat. Die Einarmigkeit führte übrigens zu seinem Spitznamen "Wingy". Seine Platten-Karriere begann etwa 1924 auf Schellacks der Firmen VOCALION, BLUEBIRD etc.
