Reinhard erwähnte im Forum die deutsche Version von "Lucky Ladybug", die Bibi Johns als "So ein Glück" auf POLYDOR veröffentlichte. Das brachte mich auf die Idee, die Original-Interpreten dieses Titels hier vorzustellen.
Billy Ford (geb. 9. März 1925, Bloomfield, New Jersey) und Lillie Bryant (geb. 14. Februar1940, Newburgh, New York) waren ein amerikanisches Pop-Duo. Als Billie and Lillie konnten sie vier mal die US-Charts erobern:
Dezember 1957, 13 Wochen, Position 9: La Dee Dah (SWAN 4002)

Dezember 1958, 13 Wochen, Position 14: Lucky Ladybug (SWAN 4020)

... dann kann ich noch eine Scheibe auf Casino anbieten. Könnte eine US-Re-Issue der Swan-Aufnahmen sein und ist laut einer lückenhaften Discografie aus 1959 ...

Billy Ford wäre eigentlich bei seinem Geburtsdatum vom 9. März 1925 schon
satte 86 Jahre alt. Er starb jedoch leider 1985 mit nur 60 Lenzen. Lillie ist
71 Jahre (14. Februar 1940).

BILLIE & LILLIE - einmal Kanada, einmal Wiederveröffentlichung,
