Hallo Forum!
Ein wichtiger Mann aus unserer Zeit geht mir noch ab. Er kann zwar nicht wirklich zu den Rocknrollern gezählt werden, auch nicht zu den britischen, aber Skiffle war damals auch im Zeitgeist. Uns war das damals ziemlich egal ob einer aus Großbritannien oder den USA gekommen ist. Cliff Richard stand für uns, natürlich nur mit seinen ersten Singles, auf gleicher Höhe wie Ricky Nelson und vielen anderen. Und ebenso wichtig war für uns "The Battle Of New Orleans" und einige weitere Titel von Lonnie Donegan. Johnny Horton kam erst mit "North To Alaska" in unsere Gehirne.
So, nach der langen Einleitung ein Versuch einer Single-Diskographie von Lonnie bis 1962 mit der Schwierigkeit, die unterschiedlichen Vertriebsvarianten unserer drei Länder unter einen Hut zu bringen. Nun der Versuch:
