sehr logisch und bin da immer noch nicht überzeugt:
John Paul Jones sounds like the kind of name Kim Fowley would have made up as a once-off artist to ride on the coat tails of Paul Revere maybe. The composers of the instro flip were in fact Jerry Merritt's Crowns. Merritt of course is best known as a sometime Blue Cap backing Gene Vincent. Whether or not this is Merritt's group here or just a cover version of something of his I dunno. Anyway, Kim Fowley shared office space at 6365 Selma Avenue, Hollywood at the time with veteran music publisher Fred Stryker (Briarcliff was one of his imprints) and session guitarist Rene Hall. I'd guess this label originated at this address (along with Fowley & Paxton's Paxley label).

And its definately not the similarly named John Paul Joans, who had a minor hit in the U.K. with The Man From Nazareth the in early 1970s

I don't think this is the guy from Zep. The A-side was copyrighted in March 1963, which was about 9 months before the future Zep bassist changed his name from John Baldwin to John Paul Jones.
Also, it looks like this 45 was recorded in the USA, and John Baldwin did not go to America until much later in the '60s.
