es gab tatsächlich eine US-Rockabilly Aufnahme auf dem deutschen Ariola Label:
Sherie Lee Douglas and the Gondoliers - Chime Bells / Gray Skies / Ariola 10 008 AT / ca. 1960
"Chime Bells" ist eine alte, getragene Country-Jodel Nummer
vom US-Countrysänger Elton Britt.
Sherie Lee Douglas singt es als uptempo Rockabilly Nummer, klingt ein wenig rau und unausgegoren (Garagen-Rockabilly).
Man muß sich den Gesangsstil als Mischung aus Wanda Jackson / Janis Martin und einer Jodelsängerin (ja die Jodelelemente sind noch drin) vorstellen.
Eine sehr interessante Ariola-Veröffentlichung - wie ich finde!
