Hallo,
ich schaue noch nicht richtig durch .............
Erst habe ich die Gruppe unter UK abgelegt, aber es handelt sich ja wohl um ein weißes Vocal-Ensemble aus Boston/Massachusetts?
Mitglieder:
Bill Courtney
Frank Mahoney (Francis Mahony; died 2007; served in World War II as interpreter; active in Alcoholics Anonymous in Boston area from early 1980s through 2007)
Wally Gold (died June 7, 1998)
Bob Golden aka Robert Colligan
William Powers
Their song “Look Homeward Angel“ (siehe Scan) charted at # 55 on Billboard Hot 100 in May 1956. The first Billboard chart entry for this group, and the first charting version of this song, written by the group-member Wally Gold.
“Look Homeward Angel“ also charted at # 36 for Johnnie Ray in January 1957 (# 7 UK), # 47 for the Monarchs in February 1964 and #12 (on the Adult Contemporary chart) for Ray Conniff and His Orchestra in 1968.

They had two other hit singles in the U.S. late in the 1950s, both on Paris Records. The first, “Love Me Forever“, featured orchestral backing by Sid Bass with a female session vocalist and peaked at # 25 in November on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1957. It also reached # 23 on the UK Singles Chart.
The second, “Hideaway“, had orchestral accompaniment by Richard Hayman, and peaked at # 21 in September in the U.S. in 1958.
In 1963 the group performed a vocal cover version of “The James Bond Theme“.
